HTC pioneered the first “Google phone” known as the Nexus One. It was a huge success. In recent times with Korean manufacturer Samsung being the leader in Android device sales, Google shifted gears making the move to co-develop with Samsung for their future in Google phones. HTC is reportedly making a move to continue its legacy in bridging the net and mobility with a Facebook hybrid smartphone to be released in Fall of 2012. Digitimes sources say that HTC, as a result of Google’s change of pace, is turning to pioneering the first deeply integrated Facebook Android device. It is said to host most if not all of the Facebook features making itself the first “Facebook phone” to hit the market. HTC has already had some success with its “guinea pig” Facebook devices known as the Salsa and Chacha. The smartphone to be released the third quarter of 2012 is said to be a far more complete Facebook experience than the former.
